Welcome to the Program for Early Parent Support - PEPS!

About PEPS

Since 1983, PEPS has helped new parents to connect and grow.  Newborn PEPS Groups are our flagship offering. Parents come together each week to share the earliest joys and challenges of parenthood and develop confidence in their own parenting abilities. For many parents, their newborn PEPS Group becomes part of their extended family, a supportive community that lasts a lifetime.

PEPS Programs

Orientation

Tattoo dadThe PEPS experience starts here. The PEPS orientation is where you’ll learn what to expect and how to get the most out of your PEPS Group. The Orientation is a one-time, two-hour session.  It is professionally-facilitated and held four times each month at Seattle’s Good Shepherd Center and in Bellevue. Both day and evening sessions are offered. Check out our current schedule to find a time to get to know PEPS.

Newborn PEPS Groups

PEPS Group – our original offering! 12 weekly two-hour sessions following PEPS’ tried and true format of sharing, bonding and learning. PEPS Groups meet both during the day and the evening, whenever it’s most convenient for the parent to attend. In most cases, only one parent attends the day group with 10-12 other parents. Evening groups generally consist of 12-14 parents, often with both parents attending.  These volunteer-facilitated groups rotate between participant's homes, with each participant hosting their counterparts one time.  Get full details here.

Little PEPperS

This is for families with both an infant and a toddler in the house – oh my! Little PEPperS is offered at four sites: North Seattle, West Seattle, South Seattle and Bellevue. Each two-hour session is self-contained and includes play time for the toddlers and sharing and learning time for the parents. For those of you new to the perils and pleasures of juggling two kids, find out more about Little PEPperS.

PEPS Partnerships

PEPS is proud to work with partners to meet the needs of parents outside of King County and/or those facing unique parenting challenges. These partnerships may have different approaches: some will be extensions of PEPS as it operates in King County and some may have programs that contain elements of the various PEPS programs along with culturally relevant additions. For example, in Snohomish County PEPS is  partnering with Lutheran Community Services to offer Newborn Groups and Little PEPperS.
