Baby Peppers
Baby Peppers FAQs
Who is Baby Peppers For?
Baby Peppers is for parents and their babies to attend together. When a group begins, all babies are between five and twelve months old.
What happens at Baby Peppers?
Parents meet, share, and learn in volunteer-facilitated sessions. Each meeting includes sharing your parenting highs and lows from the past week, songs and games for the babies, a break for informal socializing and connection-building, and then group discussion on a subject directly related to the adventure of parenting your baby as he or she becomes more mobile and learns new and exciting skills. We usually end the group with more songs and games.
When and where is Baby Peppers offered?
Baby Peppers groups meet once a week, for 90 minutes per session. Each group meets for 11 weeks (8 weeks in the summer). Baby Peppers is site-based, which means it meets at the same location every week, rather than rotating around to members' houses as the Newborn Groups do.

How do I request a scholarship for the PEPS Program Fee?
PEPS wants to serve EVERY family that registers for a PEPS Group. Financial hardship should never be a deterrent when considering joining PEPS- we happily provide income-based scholarships in amounts equal to 20-75% off fees, and full scholarships in special situations. Requests for scholarships will be possible once you select the session and location of your group.
Is Baby Peppers limited to certain types of families? Is Baby Peppers just for Moms?
PEPS is open to all families with babies 5-12 months old (when the group begins). Some of the families have participated in a PEPS Newborn Group, but many are new to the PEPS community.
All parents are welcome at Baby Peppers sessions. Most morning groups are mostly moms, but dads are very welcome!
What is the difference between Baby Peppers and the Newborn Program?
The babies in Newborn Groups are less than five months old when the group begins; babies in Baby Peppers are five to twelve months old. Newborn Groups meet in members' houses, Baby Peppers is located at a public facility. Both types of groups are led by trained volunteers, and follow very similar formats: sharing highs and lows, song time, breaks, and discussion, but the discussion topics are geared to the developmental stage of the participants.
What other programs does PEPS offer?
Orientation, Newborn Groups Little Peppers and Bringing Baby Home.
