Little Peppers

Little Peppers FAQs

Who is Little Peppers for?

Little Peppers is for parents and their children to attend together. It is designed for families with two children under the age of three. (Most Little Peppers families have a young infant and a toddler, but groups sometimes include families with twin toddlers, or an older baby and a toddler.)

What happens at Little Peppers?

Parents meet, share, and learn about the joys and challenges of parenting two young children. Groups are led by a professional facilitator. Each session includes sharing your parenting highs and lows from the week, songs and play time for the children, breaks for socializing and a group discussion on a subject directly related to the adventure of parenting.

Babies and children remain in the room with their parents for the entire meeting. (It makes for quite a busy and exciting morning!) Toys are provided, and you are also welcome to bring your own, if your child would be comfortable sharing them.

Is Little Peppers limited to certain types of families? Is Little Peppers just for Moms?

Little Peppers is open to all families with 2 children under age three (at the time the group begins): could be one infant and one toddler, or twins under the age of three. All parents are welcome at Little Peppers sessions, though the majority of attendees are moms.

What about child care?

At our sites, babies and toddlers remain in the room with parents, and parents are responsible for supervising their children. The facilitator is responsible for leading the activities and discussion.

What do parents say about their Little Peppers Experience?

Here are a few quotes from recent evaluations:

  • Thank you for this great resource! It very unique to have a group that works for moms, toddlers, and infants.
  • It was great for my toddler to be a part of a structured activity each week, especially for socializing.
  • [Leader] is amazing! Great at juggling entertaining / teaching toddlers AND helping parents with challenges.
  • Best part was sharing experiences and learning new skills with other parents who are at the same point on their parenting journey.
  • I loved getting together with other parents who "get it" when I talk about the challenges of my day!
