Orientation FAQs

Who are Orientations for?

Expectant and new parents who are not yet placed in a PEPS group.

What happens at a PEPS Orientation?

Orientations help you to learn more about PEPS and get any and all questions answered about our programs. Each session offers a chance to sample the PEPS experience with other curious parents, as you talk about the experience of pregnancy and early parenthood, and have a chance to learn from and support other parents and parents-to-be.

When and Where is PEPS Orientation offered?

PEPS Orientation is offered three times a month: mornings or evenings in Seattle at the Good Shepherd Center and afternoons in Bellevue at The Little School.

The current PEPS Orientation schedule:

1st Wednesday of each month at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford, 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N., Seattle 98103, Room 326, 10:00 am to 11:30am. (August 4, September 1, October 6)

4th Thursday of each month at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford. 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. room 221 (July 22, August 26, September 23)

2nd Tuesday at The Little School in Bellevue, 2812 116th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004, 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. (August 10, September 14, October 12)

How Do I Register for PEPS Orientation?

No registration required for orientation -- just come on by. PEPS Orientation is offered as a drop-in program, so pick a time and place that works for you and join in.

You can attend before you register for a Newborn Group, or after you have registered to participate, but before you have been informed of your group placement and meeting time. (Or even after you've been placed but before your group meets if you're feeling like you really just need to be out with other parents that day!)

What does PEPS Orientation cost?

PEPS Orientation is free. It's meant to help each future PEPS participant prepare to get the most out of their PEPS experience.

Is PEPS Orientation limited to certain types of families?

ALL families are welcome at all groups. You are welcome to come during pregnancy or before adoption. You are welcome to come after the baby is born, and of course you are very welcome to bring your baby along.
