Supplemental Support
PEPS offers monthly supplemental support groups to enhance the PEPS experience. If you are enrolled in any weekly PEPS group (Newborn Program, Baby Peppers, or Little Peppers), then you can attend monthly supplemental meetings for free. Current supplemental groups are:
Parents of Preemies
When a baby is born prematurely, the family faces all the regular challenges of life as new parents, compounded by medical issues, extra worries and guilt, and more. The premature birth of a baby is a stressful experience that can play out over a period of time. This group is designed to give parents the opportunity to talk about their parenting journeys that started sooner than planned…. The Parents of Preemies group focuses on shared support. Participants have the opportunity to share their stories, and receive information in a comfortable and intimate setting. The group is drop-in and facilitated by a trained volunteer who is also the mom of a preemie.
- When: Second Tuesday of the month, 12-2 pm
- Where: PEPS Conference Room #326, Good Shepherd Center, 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98103
- Dates: March 9 will be the final meeting of this supplemental group.

LGBT Parents
Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) parents face a unique set of issues as they begin the parenting journey, and having a support system that includes other LGBT parents is important. This group focuses on shared support and community building, and features parent sharing, topic discussion and networking. Participants have the opportunity to share their stories, compare notes on the ups and downs of early parenting, and receive information in a comfortable, intimate setting. Partners (and babies of course) are welcome and encouraged. The group is drop-in and facilitated by a trained volunteer.
- When: First Thursday of the month, 7:00 - 8:30 pm. **Due to the spring break schedule, April's meeting will be one week earlier on March 25th. The next meeting will be May 6th.**
- Where: PEPS Conference Room #326, Good Shepherd Center, 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N., Seattle.
